Kimbo Slice = Weak Sauce

I hope by now you have heard the story about the banned little-leaguer...

If not, here's a link.

Imagine that... it happened in New Haven, Connecticut. This wouldn't fly anywhere other than somewhere way North.

The worst paragraph of that article:

"The fighting started this week when Coach Wilfred Vidro refused a directive by league officials to replace 9-year-old pitcher Jericho Scott, whose pitching they say is so hard, fast and accurate that it might frighten or discourage other players."

Discourage other players!

Advice to everyone out there: If your kid is afraid of a 40mph fastball then he needs to strike out, get discouraged, fully know that he sucks, and then find another sport.

What kind of a wussy parent are you to tell your kid not to play because the pitchers throwing too hard?

And 40mph? That's not that hard. I remember going to the Memphis Chicks games and throwing at least 40 when I was 9 years old.

This is why I hate Connecticut. When I think of that state the only thing that comes to mind is women's basketball and now scared little leaguers. Connecticut gets my vote for gayest state.

In other news...

Kimbo Slice vs. Ken Shamrock... wow - way to really show your tough side Kimbo. Ken Shamrock is 44, has fought 41 career fights, and lost 8 of his last 10... 6 of those were 1st round knockouts.

Kimbo Slice must suck.

In good news...

The Memphis Tigers have signed C.J. Henry for next season... he's the brother of Xavier Henry (a top prospect) and he will play a little bit next season and will eventually fade into oblivion once Xavier Henry joins the program. Cal's a recruiting genius.

So Jay Mariotti has left the Chicago Sun Times... Good. He's a huge nerd...

But this is what the editor in Chief had to say:

"We wish Jay well and will miss him -- not personally, of course -- but in the sense of noticing he is no longer here, at least for a few days."

That's highly amusing.
